Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including name, email address, and payment information. We also collect information about how you use our platform, including course progress and learning activity.

On this website we also record how you browse it: which pages you open, in what order, how far down each one you read, how long you stay, and which advertisement or link brought you here. This is tied to a random identifier stored in your browser rather than to your name — but if you are signed in, we can connect it to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve our services
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Send you updates and educational content
  • Communicate with you about your account
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We share limited information with the providers below, each only to the extent needed to run the service. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Some privacy laws, including California's, treat advertising tags as "sharing" or even "selling" your information, because the advertising platform can use what it sees here to build a profile of you. We use those tags, so we say so plainly rather than claim otherwise. Section 6 names each one and how to opt out.

  • Supabase — hosts our database and account system. Stores your account, your course progress, and your quiz results.
  • RevenueCat — manages subscriptions. Receives a purchase identifier and your subscription status, and — only where section 6 says so — your email address, which it scrambles before passing on. It never receives your name.
  • Apple and Google — process all payments in the mobile app. We never see or store your card details; the app stores handle payment entirely and tell us only whether a subscription is active.
  • PostHog — product analytics for the mobile app. Receives events describing which screens are opened and which lessons are completed, tied to a random identifier rather than to your name.
  • Base44 — hosts this website and the accounts and analytics behind it.
  • Advertising platforms — Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads receive a record of pages you view on this website, and, if you allow it, a record of your purchase in the app. See section 6.
  • OpenRouter and the AI model provider it routes to — powers the Professor. See section 9.

5. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time.

To delete your account and everything attached to it, open the app, go to the You tab, and choose Delete my account. This is immediate and cannot be undone. It erases your account, your progress, your quiz records and your archetype result.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Apple and Google control billing, and only you can cancel it — through Settings on your device or through the Play Store. Cancel there first if you no longer wish to be charged.

You may also email us at support@statusarchetype.com to make any of these requests, and to opt out of marketing at any time.

6. Cookies and Advertising

This website uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and count your visits under a random identifier.

It also loads advertising tags from the companies below. Each one sets cookies, sees the pages you open here, and may use that to show you our advertisements on its own services.

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — records which pages you visit so we can measure which ads lead to sign-ups. Opt out at facebook.com/adpreferences.
  • Google Ads — measures which advertisements lead to sign-ups. Opt out at google.com/settings/ads.

These tags load on every page of this website. You can also block them through your browser settings or a tracker-blocking extension. We will update the list above whenever we add or remove an advertising platform.

In the mobile app it works differently, and you decide. The app has no advertising code inside it and no advertising company can see what you do in it. What we do want to know is which advertisement led to a membership, so we stop paying for the ones that do not work.

On iPhone the app asks you once, on the membership screen, whether you will allow this. If you say no, nothing is sent and nothing about the app changes. If you say yes, RevenueCat tells Meta that a purchase happened, along with your email address — scrambled first, so Meta can match it against an account it already has but cannot read it — and your device's advertising identifier.

Android has no such prompt, so there the same information is sent by default. Deleting your advertising ID in Settings, under Privacy and then Ads, stops the identifier being sent but not the scrambled email. To stop all of it, email support@statusarchetype.com and we will switch it off for your account.

What is never sent, on either platform: your lessons, your quiz answers, your archetype, anything you asked the Professor, or your name.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is sold as a subscription and is not directed to anyone under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. If we become aware that we have, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy and updating the effective date.

9. The Professor (AI Coach)

The Professor answers questions using an AI model. What you type is sent to our server, and from there to OpenRouter, which routes it to the model provider that generates the reply.

We do not store your conversations. Messages exist only for as long as it takes to answer them. Nothing you say to the Professor is written to our database, and it is not used to train any model. We keep a count of how many questions you have asked each day, in order to apply a fair-use limit — that is a number, not your messages.

Please do not share passwords, financial account details, or information about other people with the Professor.

The Professor is educational. It is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer or financial adviser, and its answers are not professional advice.

10. How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Account and progress — kept while your account is open. When you delete your account, it is removed from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
  • Professor conversations — not stored.
  • Analytics and website browsing records — kept for 12 months, then deleted or aggregated so they can no longer be linked to you. Advertising platforms keep their own copies under their own policies, which we do not control.
  • Purchase and subscription records — kept for 7 years, because we are required to retain records of sales. This applies even after account deletion, and is the one category deletion does not clear.
